Current bid: £180.00

Proxy Bidding, Also known as Commission Bidding is a concept in which the system automatically bids on your behalf up to the maximum bid amount that you have chosen (“Max Bid”).

Your leading bid will be placed from your max bid, at one increment above the competing bid, thus keeping you in the top position until your “Max Bid” is reached. The driver of the “Max Bid” is bids from other bidders.

This is simply to make the online auction process much easier and less time-consuming. Proxy Bid is the Maximum Bid and not the Current Bid.

  • If auction price is between 0 and 750 the bid increment is 10
  • If auction price is between 750 and 1500 the bid increment is 25
  • If auction price is between 1500 and 2500 the bid increment is 50
  • If auction price is over 2500 the bid increment is 100

Tommy McClean Stock Reduction Sale

Tommy needs very little introduction to pigeon fanciers throughout Ireland and beyond, being an ever-present feature of the top results in any of the channel and French racing scene for many years. He has been our national champion on a number of occasions and winner of some of our premier long distance races over a protracted period. He has, literally, hundreds of other wins to his name at Club, Section, Federation and National level, and more importantly, it is said that he would win with your pigeons, such is his ability to produce performances from any pigeons !!

This sale is the last in a series of stock reduction sales for Tommy, with his own stated intention of closing his stock lofts by the end of 2024 to allow more time and involvement with the racing side of his efforts. Tommy?s ability to pick a pigeon hasn?t diminished any, and although not a ?family? of pigeons in the traditional sense, all of the birds offered are the parents of either past performers or indeed of his current crop of Kings Cup entrants for the upcoming season.

Some of the birds for sale include his 1st National INFC Friendship National Winner “Sam’s Gift”, his 3rd Open Kings Cup winning Hen, his 4 x France Cock, a son and daughter of his 1st Open Friendship National x 3rd Open Kings Cup and many other performance breeders and winners.

Tommy is again in line for a super year of racing from France, with 2 birds going for their “Hall of Fame” awards from the INFC, 4 birds going for their merit awards as well as a host of other sons and daughters of the birds in this sale going forward to their own respective races from France.
The birds were photographed and had video taken of them in late summer 2024, when some of the birds were already starting to moult. Having seen them recently at the lofts, they have all come through a fantastic moult, are healthy and ready to breed for the 2025 season.

The birds are currently at the McClean lofts and will be available for collection or delivery following the sale. (Delivery to the UK, Europe and beyond available – just ask us for pricing and details). These are all of Tommy’s stock birds at his lofts. Please direct any further enquiries regarding this sale to us at www.pigeonpartners.com, using the “contact us” page.

The Sire : He is the son of 41st Sec. E, 103rd Open from France.

His Dam was 40th Sec. E and 119th Open NIPA St. Malo at 450 miles. She was also 3rd Sec. E and 6th Open St. Malo the following year, winning herself a NIPA Broinze Medal.

It was the very best of the old Kenyon bloodlines mainly, bred down from the famous “Madam Butterfly” lines – all the top lines of Smyth Bros of Ballymena. The hen’s dam flew France on two occasions for T & P Cassidy. The 3rd National winner also has a bit of Willy Clerbaut through a late bred purchased from Wilf Reed, and a C & L Woodside hen which will be Smyth Bros old bloodlines. The 4-year-old Blue Ch. hen was sent 14 days on eggs and he timed in at 7.45am on the second morning flying 480 miles to Portadown.”

The nest sibling (Thought to be a Cock) of this YB is also in the sale – Lot. # 28.
