Lot # 10 – Inbred “Ringlose” Cock
Current bid: £40.00
Proxy Bidding, Also known as Commission Bidding is a concept in which the system automatically bids on your behalf up to the maximum bid amount that you have chosen (“Max Bid”).
Your leading bid will be placed from your max bid, at one increment above the competing bid, thus keeping you in the top position until your “Max Bid” is reached. The driver of the “Max Bid” is bids from other bidders.
This is simply to make the online auction process much easier and less time-consuming. Proxy Bid is the Maximum Bid and not the Current Bid.
- If auction price is between 0 and 750 the bid increment is 10
- If auction price is between 750 and 1500 the bid increment is 25
- If auction price is between 1500 and 2500 the bid increment is 50
- If auction price is over 2500 the bid increment is 100

Tommy McClean Stock Reduction Sale
Tommy needs very little introduction to pigeon fanciers throughout Ireland and beyond, being an ever-present feature of the top results in any of the channel and French racing scene for many years. He has been our national champion on a number of occasions and winner of some of our premier long distance races over a protracted period. He has, literally, hundreds of other wins to his name at Club, Section, Federation and National level, and more importantly, it is said that he would win with your pigeons, such is his ability to produce performances from any pigeons !!
This sale is the last in a series of stock reduction sales for Tommy, with his own stated intention of closing his stock lofts by the end of 2024 to allow more time and involvement with the racing side of his efforts. Tommy?s ability to pick a pigeon hasn?t diminished any, and although not a ?family? of pigeons in the traditional sense, all of the birds offered are the parents of either past performers or indeed of his current crop of Kings Cup entrants for the upcoming season.
Some of the birds for sale include his 1st National INFC Friendship National Winner “Sam’s Gift”, his 3rd Open Kings Cup winning Hen, his 4 x France Cock, a son and daughter of his 1st Open Friendship National x 3rd Open Kings Cup and many other performance breeders and winners.
Tommy is again in line for a super year of racing from France, with 2 birds going for their “Hall of Fame” awards from the INFC, 4 birds going for their merit awards as well as a host of other sons and daughters of the birds in this sale going forward to their own respective races from France.
The birds were photographed and had video taken of them in late summer 2024, when some of the birds were already starting to moult. Having seen them recently at the lofts, they have all come through a fantastic moult, are healthy and ready to breed for the 2025 season.
The birds are currently at the McClean lofts and will be available for collection or delivery following the sale. (Delivery to the UK, Europe and beyond available – just ask us for pricing and details). These are all of Tommy’s stock birds at his lofts. Description : This bird is inbred to “Ringlose” through his Sire “The 861” who is from a pairing of a son of Ringlose to a daughter of the half-sister of Ringlose.
The Dam is also inbred to Ringlose, from a pairing of a Grandson of Ringlose when paired to a Daughter of Ringlose.
A super inbred “Ringlose” bird for the stockloft – the young of which are still in Tommy’s racve team.
“Ringlose” NL 94-2227959 was the undisputed number one stock breeder for G?nter Prange for quite some time, and he was obtained from Cornelis & Gerard Koopman. He is a son of Beatrix-Doffer paired to Sultana (from Eric x Wonderduifje 056). The 959 is the sire, grandfather and great-grandfather of quite a number of world class pigeons. He combined particularly well with the Bellens hen 736. The 02098-97-330, a son of this pair, won no less than eight prizes during his racing career, before developing into a renowned breeder here in Meppen. In 2001 the 330 won 10 prizes and an impressive 968,01 ace points of a total of 1000.
Another son of the 959 is the so called Ringlose, which is now quite a legendary pigeon, having bred so many outstanding breeding and racing birds. His dam is in fact a descendant of the old Delbar bloodline of G?nter Prange. A son of Ringlose, the 02098-99-802, became 1st Ace Cock of Germany in 2001. A daughter of Ringlose, the 02098-99-704, bred racing bird 05991-01-1011, winner of a title of 1st Ace Cock of Germany in 2011 for the renowned German loft of Bernhard Beumer & Theo Sandbothe.
Another son of Ringlose was very close to winning this very title yet again in 2003, this time in G?nter Prange’s own loft in Meppen. He has ring number 02098-01-1009 and he comes from a pairing of Ringlose with NL 94-2783577 (from Ons Louis x Zuster Eric) of Cornelis & Gerard Koopman. The 1009 finished in 2nd place in the German Ace Cock championship with a 598.43 on a maximum of 600 points. This shows that the descendants of Ringlose have been quite successful indeed. To this day, and we are almost 2018 now, the Ringlose pigeon breed has shown its potential across all disciplines.
Full Nest Brother to 3082130 (Lot #23) is in this sale also.
