Sale 2 – Paul Swindell Stock Birds

Part 2 of Paul Swindell’s total and final clearance sale is comprised of 26 birds, 10 cocks and 16 hens. The sale is full of quality proven stock birds as well as several of Paul’s more notable prize winning racers. The birds are currently based in Ireland, and can be collected or easily transported North, South, East or West – be in touch with us if we can assist with shipping requirements.

Lot 4 GB 14L 02733 Smokey Chequer Hen, Dam of “Never Give Up”

She flew the 758 miles of the Mont De Marsan International into Ireland. She is descended from 2 Gold medal winners, one Irish & the other is the longest flying pigeon in Scottish history. An INFC Hall of fame winner, “Dolly”, twice France inside 7 days and never failed to fly France on the day in 4 trips – always in the prizes. “Sophie” – 8th Open Barcelona Nat 710 miles, 12th Open Barcelona Nat 710 miles, 24th Open Palamos 688miles, 120th Open Palamos 688 miles, British Barcelona Club Spanish Hall of Fame, Spanish diploma and silver Salver winner. “Barcelona Duiven” – winner to 36th National Ruffec 600 miles; 77th National St. Vincent 730 miles; 133rd National Barcelona 846 miles, 219th National Barcelona 864 miles, 144th National Barcelona 846 miles, flown home with a broken wing on her fourth time in Barcelona 846 miles; 350th National Perpignan; This hen was bred for one purpose – to produce birds to fly into Ireland from Internationals over 750 miles.

Lot 7 GB 13 C 49081 Blue Hen Tough Lady

One of Paul’s best performing pigeons, “Tough Lady” winner of 1st club, 1st Fed, 4th Section & 4th Open INFC Friendship National from Quimper, 443 miles in 2014. Only 11 birds home in race time, she was only 7 months old at the time of the race.

“Tough Lady” has also succeeded in the stock loft with a.o 6th Club, 7th Section 11th National St. Malo, 705 kms 2016. 6th Section, 15th National Penzance 2016 56th Section 89th National Penzance 2016, 289 miles (465 kms), 28th Section 98th national Bude 2016, 30th Section 101st National Bude 2016 251 miles (404 kms).

She is ½ sister to Le Mans Prince, 3rd Irish region BICC Le Mans National 2018.

Lot 16 GB 14 A 40742 Black Chequered Hen

Dam of A very special hen, she is the dam of “Queen of Le Mans” – winner of 1st Irish region BICC Le Mans national 516 miles. The 1st pigeon to be recorded in race time from a BICC National race in the 40 year history of the BICC. Winner of the prestigious BHW Gillian Scott memorial trophy for the best performance by a hen over 400 miles in the UK and Ireland. She is truly the dream maker, and a hen that would grace any loft of stock pigeons serious about racing from France into Ireland

Lot 23 GB 16 C 49334 Blood Red Cock Le Mans King

Winner of 2nd Irish section BICC Le Mans 515miles (829 kms) 2018. The 2nd bird to be recorded in race time into Ireland from a BICC national race in the 40 year history of the BICC. Returned to the loft having been hawked and was retired to stock.
None of his children have raced to date as he entered the stock loft in 2019. A proven racer from France doing it alone from Le Mans, This cock will be perfect for the distance stock loft.

Lot 26 GB 17 C 48542 Gay Black Pied Cock Le Mans Prince

“Le Mans Prince” winner of 3rd Irish region, BICC Le Mans National 2018, flying 516 miles. Only the 3rd bird in BICC History to be recorded in race-time from a BICC National race in the 40-year history of the organisation.

“Le Mans Prince” is a half-brother to “Tough Lady” 1st club 1st fed, 4th open INFC Friendship National Quimper 2014, 443 miles: 63rd section 99th open & 72nd Section 114th Open IHUNFC Penzance National 2016 289 miles (465 kms), 10th Section 54th Open IHUNFC Bude National 2016, 251 miles (404 kms), 18th open INFC Yearling national 2014 Sennen Cove.

Another cock that has proven where it matters in the basket, beautiful handling pigeon and closely related to top performing Swindell racers.

Only 5 out of 26 but like everything you have to highlight something special and each of these birds are not to be missed if you want to fly France or the channel.
