Sale 1 – Paul Swindell Stock Birds

Nearly 50 years of keeping pigeons by Paul Swindell comes to an end due to ill health, with a final and total clearance of all Paul Swindell’s birds. This sale will include stock birds, performance birds and his 2021 race team. The first part of the sale is featured in the specific sale catalogue, in it you will find all of Pauls top performance birds represented by children or ½ brothers/sisters.

There are children of “Mr. Goddard” in the sale, making them ½ brother or sisters of “Queen of the Rain”, 2nd Nat. Quimper 2012 and winner of the prestigious BHW Gillian Scott memorial trophy for best performance by a hen over 400 miles in the UK and Ireland.

There are children of “The Dutchess”, making them half brother or sister to “Extreme Heat” and “Sunset Lady” who achieved 3rd Nat. Lamballe 2019. There are children of “Extreme Heat”, 4th Nat. Quimper 2013, children of “Tough Lady”, 4th Nat. Quimper 2014, and children of “Joan” – 26th Nat. INFC Kings cup 2012.

There are children of “Le Mans King”, 2nd Irish region BICC Le Mans 2018 – only the 2nd bird in the 40 year history of the BICC to be clocked into Ireland in race-time from a BICC national race. Additionally, children from “Le Mans Prince”, 3rd Irish region BICC Le Mans 2018, only the 3rd bird in the 40 year history of the BICC to be clocked into Ireland in race-time from a BICC national.

Specifically, Included are 6 daughters and 2 sons of “Extreme Heat”, 4th National Quimper 2013, 4 of them being when he was paired to “Tough Lady” also winner of 4th Nat Quimper 2014. These bloodlines form the basis of the Swindell family breeding from birds that have been proven where it counts in the basket.

“Mr. Goddard” bred by Dave Goddard of Reading England, a top English National flyer is a cornerstone of the Swindell loft. There are 2 of his children in the sale making them ½ brothers to “Queen of the Rain”, 2nd national Quimper 2012 & “Joan” 26th Nat Kings Cup 2013.

One of the highlights of the sale is Lot 28,  a Blue cock, son of “Broken Wing”, bred by Malachy Maguire, he is G/sire of “Extreme Heat” and “Sunset Lady”, a g.son of “Portavogie Lass” and “Home Alone” when “Broken Wing” was paired to “The Dutchess” – the cornerstone hen of the loft – dam of “Extreme Heat” and “Sunset Lady”, 3rd National Lamballe 2019.This is the opportunity to buy birds from a family of pigeons put together over many years by a master stockman, birds that will never be offered again other than in this clearance sale on Pigeon Partners.
