Glenrory Lofts - "362" Clearance Sale (Sticker Donckers)

Auction Information

Clearance Sale of Middle Distance Pigeons.

Glenrory Loft proudly present a Total Clearance Sale of their Stickers Donckers breeding stock birds.

These birds are being sold by auction here in Pigeon Partners and were only recently photographed by the vendors. The birds are still at their home lofts and will be available for collection or to be sent throughout Ireland or the UK to the lucky purchasers.

Based in the town-land of Kilwaughter, just outside the town of Larne in Co. Antrim, the father and sons team of Liam, Martin & Gareth O’Neill race in the very competitive Section C of the mighty NIPA (Ireland’s largest pigeon racing organisation) as L O’Neill & Sons.

Their speciality had always been racing young birds from the channel liberation points such as Bude, Talbenny & Penzance. Indeed, it is from these race-points that they have achieved great success over the past 5 seasons.

However as work and family commitments increase, they have decided to build on their successes from French races and only keep birds that are bred for the long distance races into Ireland. Their intention is to race only old birds from France and perhaps further if the opportunity presents itself.

This is the sole reason that all of their superb Stickers Donckers breeding stock are for sale.

In the sale are 14 birds,  8 cocks and 6 hens. Of these 14 birds, 13 are children of their superb breeding Cock, BE 14 6055 362 “Captain Jack Sparrow” known affectionately as the “362” cock. He is a direct Stickers Donckers Cock, and a perfect specimen of that strain.

He is the sire of multiple winners, many from channel races both with the NIPA and the INFC. These include, Glenrory Young Jack GB 19 V 57582 (Lot 1 in the sale), winner of 19th open INFC Young bird national Penzance 2019, flying a distance of 325 miles at a velocity of 1,294ypm into a Northerly headwind.

Other notable breeding successes for “362” for the Glenrory loft are

6th National INFC Friendship National St. Malo,

11th Open NIPA Bude,

38th Open NIPA St. Malo Old Bird National,

41st Open NIPA Talbenny Young Bird national

61st Open NIPA Talbenny YB national

There are also many more club, combine and section winners.

Winners have been reported for other fanciers with children and G/children of “362”. The most famous of these probably, is a g/son of “362”; Captain Kidd IHU 20 S 111138 winner of 1st Ireland 98th Open Pattaya International One Loft race final on the 9th January 2021. With a velocity of 1,439.85mpm from 530kms (Sirindhorn) against 3,653 birds. So highly did his owners think of the Cock that they bought him back, spending nearly a year getting him quarantined and transported back to Ireland from Thailand. Now safely in the stock loft his owners, who describe him as a “Powerful Cock”, expect great things from him in the future.

“362” breeds quality, now is your chance to add some of that quality to your stock loft.
